ÅForsk offers research funding in 2025

A new call from ÅForsk research foundation opens February 3rd. Three categories of research projects will be funded: Research projects for young researchers, Collaborative projects between industry and academia and General research projects.

All the research projects must contribute to development primarily within one of ÅForsk's core areas. The areas are Energy, Environment, Safety & Sustainability, Infrastructure Technology, Materials Technology, Processes and Products from renewable raw materials.

New ideas are rewarded

The Research Grant targets three different categories of projects, all of them can be applied for a maximum of three years. One is aimed at young researchers. In this category, researchers can apply for up a maximum amount of SEK 1900 000.

Applications from researchers who are at the beginning of their career, i.e. who are less than five years from their defense, and who contribute with new ideas are rewarded in this call.

Collaboration projects

The second category is Collaboration projects between academia and industry. Note that the applicant is always a university or an institute.

General Research grants

The third category of research funding is aimed at General Research projects.

The Research Grants must be within the range of SEK 400 000 – SEK 1900 000. The application must be registered at Aforsk.com no later than March 10, 2025.
